Successful Launch of refitted Shemara

After a successful refit the 65m Motor Yacht Shemara was launched from its ship lift facility at the top of Portsmouth Harbour. Shemara Refit LLP completed the refit in just over three years at the ex Vosper-Thornycroft yard in Portchester.

The vessel transited to the lift on Sunday April 13th and was launched the following day at approx. 1200hrs with a Rolls Royce syncrolift ship lift and has preceded under tow to the Port of Southampton for final fit out, commissioning and sea trials.

The tow has been facilitated by Williams Shipping. Composite Mouldings Group is one of over 200 local subcontractors to have supported Shemara Refit LLP.

The scope of work carried out was delivered by the groups design and manufacturing outfits. Buckley Yacht Design carried out all the technical aspects from 3D renderings to drawings and laminate specifications, while Composite Manufacturing brought to life the splash pool, funnel and dorade vents by creating plugs, moulds, mouldings and first fix aspects for the project. All parts of the project were delivered on time to fit in with the many other aspects of the project.

The Shemara refit project is an example of how the Southampton based Composite Mouldings Group can draw on vast skills to offer clients more and help with the successful delivery of even the most demanding projects.
