Hard Working ….. Market Driven ….. Credible ….. Confident
“CMDL are a key supply partner for Oyster Yachts. They deliver components using infusion and hand lay up processes across most of our models. The quality of work is exceptional and with a reactive management team they ensure we have everything we need, when we need it. Building under survey is no problem and with their design capability we get valuable feedback.”
– Kevin Tomlin, Composites Manager, Oyster Yachts Ltd
“Composite Mouldings has been building our Hawk 20 Dayboat and Cabin boat since they started trading. We have a good working relationship with CML and they have shared in our success with the popularity of the Hawk boats. CML have also managed the design, development and build of our new Hawk 25. Overall we find working with CML a friendly, efficient and enjoyable experience.”

“Warsash Maritime Academy (part of the Maritime and Technology Faculty of Southampton Solent University) provided original plans for a 365m long, 13,300 TEU ship to CML in order to produce a model for ship handling training.
Using 3D software, CML modelled the ship layout to be operated from on board by students. They carried out the naval architecture as well as the structural design, to achieve the correct design ratios for a 1/25 th scale model of the real ship named ‘Resolution’.
The scale ship was constructed using traditional boat building methods, high quality marine plywood sheathed in epoxy/e-glass resulting in a very strong and durable composite structure.
This project is a great success and we are currently undertaking comprehensive ‘sea trials’. We are already in the process of carrying out a further scale model project with CML.”
– Russell Gray, Principal Lecturer – Maritime Training
“Holyhead Marine has a well established working relationship with Composite Mouldings. Ongoing projects include mould tools and mouldings for the Offshore Raiding Craft, 15M Police Patrol Boat and the 16M Pilot Boat. They hit target, confidently build under survey and the quality is consistently good.”
– Nick Colin-York, Managing Director, Holyhead Marine
“Dear Mr. Buckley,
You explained that one of the company’s objectives was to maintain a quality management system, throughout the company, and that you strive to mirror this approach to managing Health and Safety. Overall I am impressed with the standard of Health and Safety arrangements in place. I could see the efforts made to ensuring the safety of those working at CML.”
– D Macwilliam, HM Inspector of Factories, after a surprise inspection on the 03/11/2009
“Composite Mouldings were tasked to build a very large pig to be carried around (by 2 volunteers) the London Marathon. Originally we expected the pig to weigh 40kg but with CML’s technical advise and their ability to use different applications and materials they were able to get the pig’s final weight down to 25kg! We found CML a pleasure to work with and their advice was a real asset to making this challenge possible”
